Know your way around C#? Play PC games, especially server-based ones? Like solving technical problems in creative, inventive ways?

PlayerLands is a venture capital-backed shopping platform designed from the ground up for video games. It lets developers and PC game server-owners set up secure, good-looking, user-friendly stores that sell in-game items to players.

PlayerLands stores are pre-integrated with the world’s leading payment partners, so customers don’t need to do any of their own negotiation or integration, making it appealing even for those with little or no technical skill. And our APIs are as simple and straightforward as we can make them - it’s all about supplying the friendliest, simplest experience.

Your job as Junior Developer will be focused on keeping our stores healthy and working as smoothly as possible. You’ll also be responsible for working with the CTO and web designers to update store themes, add features, and track down bugs.

As well as your work on the platform, you’ll occasionally be called on to help our customer service and frontline support resolve issues customers are having with their stores and the portal that underpins them. It’s varied work, and days won’t all be the same, but for the right developer that will only make the role more interesting.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the PlayerLands shopping platform by using your knowledge of the Microsoft operating environment to fix bugs, add features, and work with the CTO on long term maintenance
  • Keep the shops and the portal that runs them in good working order
  • Work with customer relations and the company founders to fix problems customers are experiencing with their stores or with the PlayerLands portal
  • Support development work on the PlayerLands platform

  • Use your knowledge as a gamer to suggest new features, and your knowledge as a developer to recommend which of those are likely to be easiest to implement

  • Microservices
  • Playing PC games

Working hours:
